A coloured circular concave disc with a hole in the centre fits on to the leader in front of the fly with the outer edges of the Vibro Disc facing forward.
When casting, the Vibro Disc turns side on to the wind, so does not interfere with casting distance, but when submerged in the water and retrieved the Vibro Disc turns face on to the direction of the retrieve and wobbles at the same time, which creates a vortex behind the Vibro Disc, causing any fibres on the fly to move in a life-like manner.
Some anglers and fishermen like to fit a micro bead between the hook and the Vibro Disc to generate even more wobble.
You can employ a stop knot in front of the Vibro Disc to prevent it from sliding up the line, 6-8lb nylon is recommended.
The Vibro Disc can be squeezed between finger and thumb to increase the concave effect, which will increase the underwater movement of the Vibro Disc and fly.
Avoid bending the Vibro Disc too much, or it will affect it's ability to turn correctly when being retrieved.
We're sure that once you have used our Vibro Discs and experienced how effective they are, you'll find it very difficult to revert back to standard fly fishing.
These can be used on most Trout waters, but if you're unsure ask prior to using them.
